Description
About: This vigorous ornamental willow is known for its curiously flattened, recurved stems that can be used in floral arrangements. In Japan, it is grown for its inclusion in Ikebana. Silvery-grey catkins with yellow anthers emerge in the spring. In the summer months bright green compound leaves adorn the flattened and twisted reddish branches. Newly propagated plants may take 3-4 years before the unique stem fasciation begins to appear.
